Buyers beware
BUYER BEWARE!!! I got my husband blueberry bushes for Father's Day from them.
They were 10 a piece with almost 30 for shipping so it was 80 for 5 bushes. The bushes didn't ship for almost two weeks after they cashed my check. The plants arrived at night and we had to plant them in the dark because it says we have to plant them immediately after they get here. Plus they shipped them on a 95 degree day and they were bare root in a bag ,in a box.
I have seen this before but I thought they would be in pots. We read all kinds of info on planting and taking care of the bushes. We had the soil ready and also the irrigation hoses they reccomend. Anyway, three of the five plants died a week after we got them and they didn't look so good when we got them to begin with.
I emailed the company and have not received a reply or a phone call. NOTHING. So basically I paid 40$ a piece for each bush that survived when it comes down to it. We were going to originally buy raspberry bushes from them too.
So very glad we didn't. At least Lowes guarantees their plants for a year after purchase. ...I'm one for supporting family business, as when my mom was alive she had a greenhouse business of her own, but it's not good practice to not stand behind your products or not even try to make good. I will tell everyone do not buy from this company they do not stand by their plants or even try to keep business!!
VERY UNHAPPY CUSTOMER. I WOULD GIVE THEM 0 STARS BUT THAT OPTION IS NOT AVAILABLE!!!THEY DO NOT STAND BY THEIR PLANTS!!
The photos I posted are literally a week after we got the plants and have been watering them and did everything they said to do. They looked half dead when we got them but we tried to give them a chance..
Dimeo RIPOFFS / Purchase form others !!!!!!!!!!!
Dimeo Farms - do not buy here.
Dimeo Farms - Blueberry Plant Review
They sent me sticks w/exposed roots. They agreed to exchange for potted, then changed their minds & threatened to have the police waiting for me.
They kept referencing their terms & conditions on their website but transaction consisted of the telephone & US Postal Service. I have requested a refund but they refused.

Buyer beware! do not buy at Dimeo Blueberry farm!
they will rip you off with your money! they are advertising and selling their blueberry which are not the same that they are selling to the customers. Not to mention a horrible customer service!!! no respect for the customers ,all they care about is their money !!
they will charge you of 50 dollars per 5 plants, i bought 20 plant so and they charged me 200 dollars shipping but the actual shipping is 40 dollars in a small box. They promise and advertised on their websites that their blueberry is Organic which is NOT!
and 3 year old , Mature ,4 feet high blueberry plant which is NOT, it came as a 1 foot , skinny blueberry plant. I am not going buy anything from this farm ever again!

Rudest service and lied to.
They told me the product would ship by a date and called me over a week later to tell me it hasn't shipped yet. What left me shocked was the man who jumped on the phone after I asked the female rep a question.
He began to speak as if his mouth was a machine gun and words were his weapon. I've never seen anything like it in customer service. He kept repeating the same thing over and over raising his voice and not allowing me to speak. He ended it by insulting All New England people and telling me what he thought of us.
He never let me make my point and truly sounds like an insane person. I wish I never ordered from them.
Don't Order blueberry bushes here!!
Rip off artists! Google "Dave's Garden" for over 150 bad reviews!
BEWARE. I chose this family farm to buy some blueberry plants.
Big mistake. I understood when they required me to send them a check for $75 and wait for it to clear before they would ship my plants. Perhaps people have ripped them off in the past and they have a right to protect themselves. I prepared my garden and enriched its soil while I waited for my "3 year old, up to 4 feet tall" bushes to arrive.
They were a very fair price at $10 each and the $25 shipping fee was also reasonable. Wow. My shipment arrived in a package no bigger than a shoe box! To add insult to injury, the box was labeled $10 PREPAID SHIPPING (when ordering on the phone I had asked very specifically if the extra $25 I was being charged was only the shipping cost and was assured that it was).
Inside were 5 bare root plants that measured no more than 16 inches and were as big around as a toothpick. None were labeled as to their variety nor was there any invoice or packing slip to speak of. I went about planting them in the pre-selected areas of my garden but just had to guess as to whether they were the kind that mature to more than 5 feet tall or perhaps they are full size at only a foot tall. No way to tell.
Once planted, I emailed the farm to express my disappointment in the size and quality of the plants and ask for an explanation for their shipping fee. I got no response. I sent a second email which was also ignored. Regretfully, I decided to let the matter go.
I was attentive to my new plantings and monitored their water and the ph of their soil. Winter came, then Spring. I shouldn't have been surprised to find that all but one of the plants were dead. So much effort, care and money wasted.
I sent DiMeo farm another email explaining the situation and including my previous two emails which had gone unanswered. I sent a 4th email with a "read receipt" request so at least I would know that someone was reading them. Nothing. I called the DiMeo farm twice last week and asked for the person in charge but they said there wasn't anyone; left my name and number but no return call.
Today when I called them and insisted that someone address this matter the girl on the other end of the line instantly turned into a computer voice reading their no refund policy to me in a monotone voice despite the fact that I declined her offer to do so saying it was not necessary. Next she hung up on me. Looking at their other negative reviews, I now realize that their mail-order side of the business is a total scam put in place to supplement their income from their "pick your own berries" business. This family has been in the game too long.
They've gotten lazy and spoiled on the backs of the previous generation, they don't want the public on their property but know they have to play nice and tolerate us to keep the money coming in. It seems that they feel justified in ripping of the mail order customers.
After all, what are we going to do? They already cashed our check!
- Should be ashamed of themselves
- Getting ripped off
- Cash your check before they will let you be their customer
Preferred solution: Full refund
Our experience was dismal.
I contacted Dimeo to order bushes for our farm in Virginia. They were bery brusque and told me to send a check (which I did) and they would call me and tell me when bushes would arrive.
I explained that we don't live on our farm so we need to know when they are shipped so we can be there to accept them. No call! I called them and they said they were shipped a few days ago. Sure enough I got there and they had arrived one day prior to my arrival.
15 blueberry bushes..8 dead. They were poorly packed, unwrapped and dry as a bone. I called them at least 8 times and they were again very curt and said maybe the farmer will call you. On the 8th try I asked if the farmer really gets the messages and she again said that maybe the farmer would call me.
He didn't and he won't. At the same time, I ordered from Gurney's. What a difference. They were well packed, damp, and covered with blossoms.
So far they are all alive. they even allowed me to use their discount which had expired the day before. Dimeo employees are rude and their products are inferior.
They definitely do not stand behind their product. I will never buy from them again.
- Business practices
- Sub-optimal product
- Rude and abnormal customer service
Preferred solution: Full refund
I feel lied to & "taken."
Dimeo is rip off spelled backwards
Guy standing in parking lot screaming on the phone and the people pulling up he comes over and starts cursing I don't need the *** in front of customers and children, horrible. The look in his eyes
You knew he wasnt going to talk sense to you , screamin i dont need the *** moeny, carrying on in front of people that are going to give him business and cursing in front of children . I didnt drive a distance with my child for him to hear some irate guy!
When you pullmup to a businees you really dont expect some guy that cant control himself.
You should be greeted with a hello can i help you. What a bad experince to have especially with your children their thinking that they are going to pick blueberries, with some guy screaming at customers never again, boycott
Dimeo Farms - Blueberry Plant Review
Purchased (5) 3yr old blueberry plants and had them delivered to my home in upstate NY via USPS. Between the day I received an email that they were shipped on 4/24 and delivery on 4/28, the plants were soaking wet inside a plastic bag within the shipping box.
I took them out and the flowers and leaves were falling off faster than a trees drops it leaves in the fall. I soaked them for 24 hrs and set them in the ground. All leaves and buds were off at this time and the stems were turning brown. I called Dimeo Farms and the funny part of the many calls there, After I mentioned that I received the delivery, the person on the other end suddenly could not hear me..
That happen three times. I was able to leave a message on the recording and never received a call back. DON'T BUY FROM THIS FARM!
THEY DO NOT RETURN YOUR CALLS AND I AM OUT $50 BUCKS! LESSON LEARNED!
Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution
Poor customer service
I ordered five blueberry bushes and five raspberry bushes for $100 and the shipping was &58.36. The raspberry bushes were just shoots, not bushes.
The blueberry bushes were very damaged. One died pretty quickly. They simply read their website statement to me when I called. They will not replace the dead bush And refuse to help in any way to treat me as a paying customer.
Before the order was final, they tetirned all messages.
Now, They refuse to answer messages. No wonder they do not accept credit Cards!
DiMeo Fruit Farm ***-ARTIST
The so-called "policy" this company has written on their site is a SCAM! It states that they can ship you whatever plants they choose upon receipt of your money, so what happens is...
when they get your money they cash the check and go on with their life, since they have "supposedly" alleviated themselves of the responsibility to fulfill written/paid orders. Don't believe me, then read it... it is hidden under the side tab "privacy policy". The owner is a personally offensive, young, and rude man.
NOTICE HE IS ON THE INTERNET FREQUENTLY POSTING, IN AN ATTEMPT TO HIDE THE BAD REVIEWS. Also, The web sites that host as review forums should not allow the company owners' voice to be more heard than the consumers, by placing their posts above the consumers'.
THIS COMPANY IS TERRIBLE! Take your business elsewhere!

Them plants don’t look like 4 foot plants looks like a tabbco plant
DiMeo advertis he ships the best non GMO bearing plants 3to 4 foot and when the customer recives the order they are dry up and under 24 inches another lie by DiMeo
People on Yelp with 5 star reviews talk with out any sense about DiMeo farms they believe the lies that he tells them the best part is that DiMeo is not a true farmer only a fraud
Some girl on Yelp thinks she pick organic blueberrys on DiMeo farms she is so very wrong
That would be tiffiany
And yes this is an "opinion " from me but is also factual with what happened and is still happening. I don't do this often, it's my only review on here..
I just don't want anyone else to get ripped off!
People on Yelp with five star reviews about DiMeo would feel dirffent if they knew the real DiMeo he is fake and likes to cause damage to good people
The plant looks like a tobacco plant not an blueberry plant, dead on arrival what a shame
They were poted plants DiMeo rips the roots off so it would cost less for shipping and then charges more for shipping to make more money he saids it's for packing cost
Horrible way to do business and ripping the roots off I'm sure dries the plant out and shortens it's lifespan.
